Prologue

Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, through its Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), is committed to advancing the professional growth of faculty in higher education by fostering innovation, research orientation, and global academic standards. In the evolving landscape of Indian higher education, guided by the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) and aligned with international benchmarks, the role of physical education and sports has expanded beyond physical fitness to encompass holistic well-being, leadership, and lifelong learning. This UGC-sponsored Refresher Course seeks to empower faculty members with contemporary pedagogical skills, research competencies, and curriculum development strategies that address both national priorities and global perspectives, thereby contributing to institutional excellence and societal transformation.


Objectives

The course aims to:

  1. Strengthen faculty expertise in innovative pedagogy and ICT-enabled teaching in Physical Education and Sports.

  2. Develop capacity for evidence-based research and publication ethics in sports sciences.

  3. Foster curriculum innovation aligned with NEP-2020 to integrate wellness, inclusivity, and holistic student development.

  4. Provide global and interdisciplinary perspectives on Physical Education as a driver of academic excellence and sustainable development.

  5. Build academic leadership and decision-making skills for advancing Physical Education programs in higher education.


Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, participants will be able to:
