Prologue: -

The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre at Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, under the aegis of the UGC, is organizing an Interdisciplinary Refresher Course on Digital Pedagogy, E-Content, MOOCs, and Open Educational Resources in virtual mode. Anchored in the transformative vision of the NEP-2020 and aligned with the global quality benchmarks, the programme is designed to enhance faculty competencies in technology-enabled teaching and learning. The course integrates outcome-based education, learner-centric pedagogy, and digital innovation to support continuous professional development, enhancement of academic quality, and institutional excellence in higher education.

Objectives: -  

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain key concepts of digital pedagogy, MOOCs, and Open Educational Resources, and describe frameworks, policies, and quality benchmarks.
  • Utilize digital tools and LMS for effective teaching-learning processes, and implement appropriate instructional design models for e-content development.
  • Examine different digital pedagogical models, online course structures, various OER licenses and platforms for effectiveness, academic use and inclusivity.
  • Assess the quality of e-content, MOOCs, and digital learning resources using established rubrics and standards, and critically evaluate digital teaching.  
  • Design and develop multimedia e-content, MOOC modules, and OER-based learning materials, and construct learner-centric, outcome-based digital courses integrating assessment and feedback mechanisms.  

Learning Outcomes: -

Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate conceptual clarity in digital pedagogy and emerging educational technologies.
  • Apply digital tools and LMS platforms for content delivery, student engagement, and assessment.
  • Analyze and adapt pedagogical strategies for interdisciplinary and inclusive digital learning environments.
  • Evaluate digital resources and MOOCs using NEP-2020 and globally aligned quality benchmarks.
  • Create high-quality e-content and OERs adhering to copyright, licensing, and accessibility standards.
